About Luke Scavuzzo
Luke Scavuzzo is a life-long resident of Harrisonville, Missouri. He graduated from Harrisonville High School and continued his studies at Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas. He married Candace Christiansen in 1982. They have two grown children, Luke and Jenna.
Luke, along with other family members, owned Scavuzzo’s Price Chopper, a family business with a 77-year history of serving the area. The business was sold in 1999 and remains a Price Chopper store.
Luke and his family attend Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. There he serves on numerous finance and building committees. Luke is on the Board of Trustees of the Harrisonville Public School Foundation, the Harrisonville Public School Finance Study Committee and was Treasurer of the Harrisonville Athletic Booster Club. Luke served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Harrisonville Chamber of Commerce and is a current member of both the Harrisonville and Peculiar Chambers. Luke is a member of Missouri Farm Bureau, Knights of Columbus and the Cass County Elks Lodge 2791. He also served on the Harrisonville Park Board and is past president of the Board of Directors of the Harrisonville Baseball Association where he volunteered his time for ten years.
