Luke's Committee Membership
With his membership on the following committees as well as his experience with the issues of education, small businesses, rural economy and keeping Missourians safe, Luke will be able to continue working on issues important to the people of Cass County and the State of Missouri.
Elementary and Secondary Education This Committee may consider and report upon bills and matters referred to it relating to elementary and secondary education and life-long learning in this state, including teachers, financing, property, indebtedness, and curriculum.

Rural Community DevelopmentThis Committee may consider and report upon bills and matters referred to it relating to policies to improve communities and the quality of life of citizens located outside of metropolitan areas and larger cities of the state.

Homeland SecurityThis Committee may consider and report upon bills and matters referred to it relating to the disaster and emergency preparation and implementation of safety and security measures for state and local governments and measures relating to cooperation between other states and the federal government.

Small BusinessThis Committee may consider and report upon bills and matters referred to it relating to the establishment, growth, development, expansion, retention, and operations of small businesses in the State.

In addition to his House Committee assignments, Luke was appointed to the Small Business Regulatory Fairness Board by Minority Leader Paul LeVota for the term May 1, 2007 through May 1, 2010. The board operates through the Department of Economic Development.
